In the all-Japan gymnastics championship, which is contested by individuals, the women's final was held, and 17-year-old Yusai Kasahara won the championship for the first time.

The All Japan Gymnastics Championships are held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, and are also held as representative selections for the World Championships of this year.



The women's final was held on the 23rd, the third day of the tournament.



Among the girls, Mai Murakami, who had won the championship in a row until the previous tournament, retired, and attention was focused on what kind of performance the athletes, mainly teenagers, aiming for the Paris Olympics two years later.



Kasahara, a 17-year-old third-year high school student who was third in the qualifying on the 21st, showed a stable performance of deciding the landing on the second uneven bars, and finished fourth in this event at 13.533.



She put together a calm performance on the next balance beam, with a high score of 13.500, and finished the final fourth event, "Yuka," without major mistakes.



Miyata won her first victory with a total of 106.230 in qualifying and finals.



Second place was Shoko Miyata with 105.497, and


third place was Chiharu Yamada with 105.330.
