Vancouver looked for a long time to be calculated from a playoff spot, but after lining up six straight victories, they were very much in the fight.

But against Ottawa came a heavy overtime loss and tonight they lost again and now it looks much darker.

Against Minnesota, the Canucks number was smaller.

The first period ended goalless, but in the second period, the audience in the Xcel Energy Center got to attend the goal party.

Five minutes in, the home team put 1-0 but Elias Pettersson responded quickly.

1-1.

Then the home team took over again and shot in 2-1 before the guests would score two goals.

Matthew Highmore scored the equalizer before Pettersson scored the important 3-2 goal - thus he became the sixth Swede to blow up the 30-goal barrier.

But Minnesota wanted something else.

Before the middle period was over, the home team had equalized and in the last period they came out much stronger.

In eight minutes, Minnesota scored three goals and won 6-3, which are already ready for the playoffs.

Filip Forsberg, Elias Lindholm, Adrian Kempe, William Nylander and Gabriel Landeskog had passed the milestone of 30 goals.

Elias Pettersson became the sixth Swede to cross the milestone of 30 goals in one and the same season.

With four games left, Vancouver has seven points up to Los Angeles, which holds the playoff spot right now.
