Preliminary list of referees for the new season's third-level professional league football

According to the ideas of the Chinese Football Association and the Chinese Football Federation preparatory team, the new season of the Chinese Super League and the Chinese League One is scheduled to start in May (the two leagues are expected to start a week apart), and the Chinese League Two will start relatively later.

At present, the preparations for the start of each league are in intense progress, and the selection of referees for the third-level professional league has come to an end.

Recently, the Chinese Football Association will send notices about the training of referees in the third-level professional leagues to all local member associations.

429 people participated in this remote online training

Affected by the epidemic, referees who have obtained the law enforcement qualifications (alternate and recruiting candidates) of the Chinese Super League, Chinese League One and Chinese League Two in the new season will receive business training online from April 24 to 28.

Among them, a total of 90 Chinese Super League referees have received training (46 referees and 44 assistant referees).

The international referees Ma Ning and Fu Ming, who are currently enforcing the AFC Champions League West Asia region competition in Saudi Arabia, and international assistant referees Cao Yi and Shi Xiang all participated in the training.

The purpose of the referee department of the Chinese Football Association to set up alternates and recruit referee candidates for leagues at all levels is to promote the survival of the fittest within the professional league referee team and maintain healthy competition among referees.

As is customary, the Chinese Football Association organizes training for referees before the kick-off of the new professional league season.

Affected by the epidemic, the association and the preparatory team of the Chinese Football Federation have not yet confirmed the specific start time of the new season of the third-level professional league.

However, judging from the progress of the specific preparatory work, it is highly likely that the Chinese Super League and the Chinese League One will start in May.

Under such circumstances, the referee department of the Chinese Football Association has recently launched pre-season training arrangements for referees of professional leagues at all levels.

According to the plan, referees (including assistant referees) and referee supervisors participating in the law enforcement work of the third-level professional league in the new season should receive training from April 24 to 28.

Affected by the epidemic, in order to avoid large-scale movement and gathering of football referees across the country, this training will be conducted online remotely.

A total of 429 people received the training.

Among them, there are 33, 46, and 44 Chinese Super League referees, referees, and assistant referees respectively; 29 Chinese Super League referees, 50 referees, and 47 assistant referees; Chinese B referees supervise 50, There are 130 referees and assistant referees in China Second Division.

There is a high probability that "foreign whistle" will be hard to see in the new season

Relatively speaking, the selection of Chinese Super League referees deserves the most attention.

It is reported that all international referees (including international assistant referees) registered by the Chinese Football Association, including seven active international referees, including Ma Ning, Fu Ming, Wang Di, Shen Yinhao, Tang Shunqi, Jin Jingyuan and Zhang Lei, participated in this training session. .

Although Ma Ning, Fu Ming, Cao Yi, and Shi Xiang are currently in the AFC Champions League in Saudi Arabia and are expected to participate in the law enforcement work in the Qatar World Cup finals, they will still participate in this training in addition to law enforcement and training.

Considering various practical factors, the Chinese Football Association will most likely not hire foreign referees to enforce the law in China in the new season.

Due to the expansion of the Chinese Super League in the new season, there is more demand for local referees to enforce the law, and the burden on referees is heavier.

They need to demonstrate the level of enforcement required by the top professional leagues.

  Set up "alternate, recruit" referees

It is worth noting that the referees of the professional leagues at all levels participating in the training, and even the supervising lineup of the referees of China A and China B, also include some alternate candidates or recruits respectively.

Taking the list of referees of the Chinese Super League as an example, among the 46 selected referees, there are 2 alternates and 4 recruited referees.

The so-called "recruitment" actually refers to the refereeing department of the Chinese Football Association referring to the AFC's method of selecting referees, and selecting the law enforcement referees set for each level of competition.

Specific to the selection of referees in the domestic professional leagues, the referees "recruited" by the Chinese Super League are actually referees who have performed well in law enforcement in the Chinese Super League in the past season, and thus become the alternate referees of the Chinese Super League in the new season.

Tang Shunqi, a young referee from Chengdu, followed this trajectory and rose step by step in the domestic law enforcement stage until he was promoted to an international referee this year.

Setting up "alternate and recruiting" referees actually constitutes a spur to the majority of referees who have obtained the official qualifications for law enforcement in the Chinese Super League, promoting them to continue to learn and improve, and refuse to stagnate at the business level.

In other words, if a referee who has obtained the law enforcement qualification of a high-level league has repeatedly made major mistakes and omissions in the law enforcement work of the league at this level, he may be "relegated", and an alternate or recruited referee will be replaced.

It is understood that the "teacher force" participating in this training is also very strong.

A total of 9 people are training instructors, they are Niu Huijun (female), Zhang Lingling (female), Tao Rancheng, Zhang Lei (big), Fan Qi, Feng Wenqiang, Yao Qing, Liu Qingwei, Li Dongnan.

Most of them are former international referees or international assistant referees.
