Six weeks after the joint statement by the two shareholders, to announce their wish to leave the capital of OL Groupe, of which they hold 19.36% and 19.85% respectively, an article in the

media announced Thursday that six American and European investors would have made offers to the Raine bank to buy out the shares of Pathé and the Chinese of IDG.

Via a press release published this Friday morning, “OL Groupe confirms that it is aware of the fact that investors have expressed their interest in view of an operation allowing the withdrawal of Pathé and IDG Capital from its funding round”.

Aulas intends to stay at the head of OL in the short term

"Some of them have also expressed their interest in participating in strengthening the financial structure of the company," the statement continued.

The general management of OL Groupe is mobilized to enable the completion of this process in the best possible conditions for the company and all of its shareholders.

Holder of 29.75% of the capital of OL Groupe via the Holnest holding company, President Jean-Michel Aulas intends to remain at the head of OL in the short term.

"The project to strengthen the financial structure of OL Groupe, carried out under the direction of Jean-Michel Aulas, is part of a logic of continuity and permanent management", confirms the club's announcement this Friday, recalling that the share capital of OL Groupe is currently made up of nearly 59 million shares.

The probable absence of the European Cup next season, a brake?

In their press release of March 8, Pathé and IDG specified in this regard that they would favor for their succession "the parties wishing to collaborate with the current management, in order to continue to develop the vision of the club and to rely on the legacy of Olympique Lyonnais".

As a reminder, OL estimated, in August 2016, the total amount of the investment of the IDG group at 100 million euros, for almost 20% of the capital of OL Groupe.
