The English football club, Forest Green Rovers, announced its solidarity with the Palestinian people by raising the flag of Palestine during an official match.
"We raised this flag today at a match for Forest Green Rovers in solidarity with the Palestinians," said club president Del Vince, who plays in the English second tier of football, in a tweet on Twitter, with a picture of the Palestinian flag attached to it.

In solidarity with Palestine.
The conflict there has all the same ingredients as the one in Ukraine – invasion, occupation, murder of civilians, destruction of homes and hospitals – and sieges.

Vince noted global support for the war on Ukraine compared to the support the Palestinian people receive, saying, "The conflict in Palestine has the same elements as the conflict in Ukraine - invasion, occupation, killing of civilians, destruction of homes and hospitals, siege."
Palestine has been under siege by Israel – by air, land and sea, for decades.
The US allows this, pumps billions into Israel to support it's economy and military and uses its veto to block any meaningful action by the UN.

He added, "Palestine has been under Israeli siege - by air, land and sea - for decades."
Vince called for stopping the American support for the Israeli occupation, amid the increasing frequency of violations against the Palestinians.
He continued, "The United States pumps billions into Israel to support its economy and soldiers, and uses its veto to prevent any meaningful action by the United Nations."
What's happening there is a disgrace to nations that collectively self identify as the 'West'.
It stands in stark contradiction to 'our' claims to moral superiority, civilisation and democratic values.

Vince denounced the silence of Western countries regarding what is happening in Palestine, stressing that "what is happening in Palestine is a disgrace to countries in the West, because their position is in stark contrast to our claims of moral superiority, civilization and democratic values."

Forest Green Rovers leads the English second division with 82 points, and its match in which the Palestinian flag was raised with Oldham ended last Monday with a 2-0 victory.
