Kuwait team champion for the 17th time

Kuwait was crowned the 60th edition of the Kuwaiti Football League before a round of the end, after its direct competitor Kazma tied with Al-Qadisiya yesterday in the seventeenth round.

Kuwait, led by Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul, regained the shield he lost to Al Arabi last season, after he monopolized it for four consecutive seasons, and equalized the record he now shares with Al Qadisiyah and Al Arabi with 17 titles each.

Maaloul wrote on his Facebook account, "We succeeded in our mission, and it was officially confirmed that we are the heroes of Kuwait in the penultimate round. Thank you to our dear fans, to the players, the technical, physical, medical and administrative framework."

On Tuesday, Kuwait defeated Al-Shabab with two clean goals, raising its score to 39 points, and it is now 4 points away from Kazma, with one game remaining for each of them against Al-Arabi and Al-Salmiya, respectively, and therefore there is no possibility to catch up with him.
