RC Strasbourg and Stade Rennais met at the Meinau stadium for the 33rd day of Ligue 1. The Reds and Blacks suffered a 2-1 defeat. The Strasbourg squad played in a rather attacking 3-5-2, system chosen by Stéphan, while Génésio opted for a balanced 4-2-3-1 with Laborde in the lead.

Ajorque scored the last goal of the game in the 77th minute, in favor of Strasbourg.

The referee distributed a yellow card to Martin, Aguerd and Caci.

Thanks to this victory, RC Strasbourg gains a place and therefore takes 4th place in the provisional classification, thus ahead of Monaco.

Following this match, Stade Rennais temporarily retains its 3rd position, ahead of RC Strasbourg.
