Al-Wehdat took revenge on its Qatari rival Al-Sadd after defeating it 3-1 today, Tuesday, in the second leg of the group stage in the Asian Football Champions League, in a match held at Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, which hosts the fifth group competitions.
Al-Wehdat had lost 5-2 in the first leg last Friday, but today it appeared at a different level and performed an exemplary performance, directed by scoring the three goals against the Al-Sadd team, which is the strongest team in the Qatari league currently and is filled with foreign professionals and leads the local league standings with 62 points, a big difference from its competitor Al Duhail has 47 points.
Al-Wehdat revived his hopes of qualifying for the second round after raising his score to four points, equal with Al-Sadd and Nasaf of Uzbekistan, before facing him with the Saudi leader, Al-Faisaly, later today.
Wehdat scored the three goals, Muhammad Al-Damiri, Khaled Essam and Ahmed Samir in the 48th, 60th and 75th minutes, while Rodrigo Tabata, 41, scored Al Sadd's goal in the 54th minute.

The fifth round of group matches will be held next Saturday, where Nasaf will meet with Al-Sadd and Al-Faisaly with Al-Wehdat.
The team that ranked first in the five groups, along with the three best second-placed clubs, will qualify for the Round of 16 in West Asia.
Eight clubs from the West advance to the round of sixteen, with eight other clubs from five groups in the East.
