It was in the third period of the fifth semifinal between Modo and Björklöven that Jesper Lindgren tackled Sam Vigneault.

The latter was forced to step out injured.

The referee left the case to the disciplinary committee - which has now made a decision to suspend Lindgren for three matches.

This despite the fact that he was not sent off for the incident during the current match.

After the tackle, Lindgren said the following according to Expressen:

- I have not seen the replay yet.

I know I'm not an ugly player.

I have never been deported for boarding, charging or anything like that during my career.

He also sent a greeting to Vigneault.

- I hope it's calm with him.

The suspension means that the Björklöven player will miss the remaining matches in the semi-final series against Modo and the first match in a possible final.

Modo leads the series 3-2 and makes it to the final, with a victory tonight.

Tuesday's event is played at 19.00.
