Since players who have been infected with the new coronavirus in professional baseball have commented that they had symptoms that seemed to be aftereffects, the NPB = Nippon Professional Baseball Organization plans to conduct a questionnaire targeting 12 baseball teams to understand the actual situation. ..

In professional baseball, players and team members were infected one after another in each baseball team, and especially this month, infected people appeared in Rakuten, DeNA, and Orix, and the official game was canceled.

According to NPB, so far, more than 10% of infected athletes and team members have said that they had symptoms that seemed to be sequelae.

For this reason, NPB plans to conduct a questionnaire targeting 12 teams to understand the actual situation.

In the questionnaire, we will ask you what kind of symptoms you have, how long you have symptoms, and whether you have visited a medical institution.

NPB will collect individual data over the next week to 10 days and consult with an infectious disease expert to create a manual for the team on what kind of response is required.

Atsushi Ihara, the secretary general of NPB, said, "I would like the athletes to refer to what they should do if they have symptoms that appear to be sequelae."
