• Report Businesses at the limit of Piqué: all the compromised connections of his 'holding'

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) agreed with

Gerard Piqué's company,

Kosmos, a commission of 24 million for bringing the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia.

As published by 'El Confidencial', the company that brokered the contract secured payment of four million a year for each of the first six editions of the tournament to be played in Riyadh.

The RFEF directed by

Luis Rubiales

had denied any direct payment to Kosmos, but the contract between the parties imposes that 'fee' as an obligation for Saudi Arabia.

Piqué's intermediation in the transformation and transfer of the Spanish Super Cup was well known.

After several reports, such as the one published by EL MUNDO in November 2019, the parties themselves had admitted it, although without offering figures.

The commission was supposed to be substantial and finally reaches 10% of the agreement, which rises to the 40 million annually that Saudi Arabia pays to the RFEF.

According to the revelations of 'El Confidencial', Piqué's participation in the new Super Cup went even further.

Before speaking with Riyadh, at the end of 2018, the president of the RFEF, Rubiales, and the player planned for the tournament to be played at the Camp Nou and even talked about how to convince Real Madrid to do so.

"I'm going to see this with Madrid as well. I think Madrid is going to say no to me. As Madrid is going to say no, that comes from fucking mother to justify us for the future and we say it's the stadium with the most capacity [Camp Nou], which is the League champion [FC Barcelona], which is the Cup champion or Cup finalist [FC Barcelona]... I think we have legitimacy," said Rubiales to Pique.

Later both would direct their efforts towards Saudi Arabia, they would set up a meeting in the same Barcelona locker room during the celebration of the 2019 League and they would maintain fluid contact.

The same information from 'El Confidencial' baptized as 'Supercopa files' reveals the audio that Rubiales sent to Piqué when the pact with Saudi Arabia was closed: "Geri, congratulations. And I'm not referring to yesterday's great game or your goal I mean, it's already past 12 o'clock and therefore the agreement with Saudi Arabia is already firm. A hug, thanks for everything and here I am for whatever you need. Well, except for a few little things that you almost better not need me [laughs]. Come on, a big hug. Take care of yourself, friend."
