Real Madrid overcame one of the important obstacles in its campaign towards regaining the Spanish Football League title this season, after overturning its two-goal delay against its host Seville to a valuable and deserved victory 3-2, at the top of the 32nd stage matches of the competition.
Real Madrid - seeking to regain the title that it lost last season in favor of its arch-neighbour, Atletico Madrid - strengthened its position in the lead, after raising its score to 75 points, 15 points ahead of its closest rivals, its arch-rival Barcelona, who played two games less than the royal team.
On the other hand, Sevilla's balance - which won one victory in its last six matches in the championship - froze at 60 points in fourth place.
Veteran Croatian star Ivan Rakitic scored for Sevilla (21), before his Argentine teammate Eric Lamela added the second goal (25).
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti's substitutions made the difference for Meringhi in the second half, which saw the visitors equalize after substitutes Rodrigo (50) and Nacho Fernandez (83) scored two goals.
While everyone prepared for the match to end in a tie, French star Karim Benzema gave the three points to Real, by scoring the third goal for the away team in the second minute of the second half, from Rodrygo's industry.
