Vice-President of the Iranian Football Association arrested on charges of "fraud"

The vice president of the Iranian Football Federation has been arrested for fraud in connection with a cryptocurrency case, the official IRNA news agency reported today.

And Mehr Agency stated that the Vice President in charge of Women's Affairs, Shahra Mousavi, was arrested following "several complaints."

Last February, the head of the Iranian Federation, Shahabuddin Azizi Khadem, was sacked after a year in office.

The state daily "Iran" had accused him of "a lack of financial transparency" and "signing a contract with a Zionist company to import Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology."

According to the official agency on Sunday, the husband of the vice president is also under arrest in the fake cryptocurrency case.
