For the second week in a row, the ladies' European Tour and the men's Asian Tour organized a joint mixed competition, where the results are counted in points instead of strokes (pairs give zero points, birdie two points and eagle five points).

And at the top, last year's successful Swedish Maja Stark - two titles on the European Tour 2021 - got involved in the fight for the victory.

Dream start

The 22-year-old made a birdie on the first and third holes, and an eagle on the ninth, and then suddenly the American Sihwan Kim's lead was no more than two points.

“A birdie on the first hole was nice.

It was a putt of six meters, and I have not really put any long putts, so it was nice to get such a start.

It feels like most of the putts were pretty good and that was due to the self-confidence I got from the first one ", says Maja Stark in a press release.

In the end, Sihwan Kim still became too difficult.

Maja Stark put two more birdies on the last four holes, but it was not enough to reach the 33-year-old American.

Stark eventually got 13 points for the final round, six more than Kim, but still missed the victory by two points.

A blow from the victory

When Stark arrived at the 18th and final hole, she needed an eagle to take home the victory, but it was only a birdie.

"I still went -6 today, and -20 is by far my best score in a competition over four rounds.

I'm happy with that.

It feels like I have finally come back from all the winter golf, where it is very cold and it feels like a fantastic score to only play on par ”, says Maja Stark.
