Ancelotti: Modric is Maldini's successor.. and I have no problem with Kroos

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti likened his Croatian midfielder Luka Modric to Italian legend Paolo Maldini.

Ancelotti confirmed that Modric will end his career with Real Madrid, explaining that he has no problem with German midfielder Toni Kroos.

And it was reported that Kroos insulted his coach Ancelotti during his substitution during Real Madrid's match against Chelsea in the Champions League last Tuesday.

"His gesture (Kroos) did not cause me any inconvenience, he was angry with the coach, but not with the person," Ancelotti said on Saturday.

"At the sporting level, he is a player of a very high level, I don't need to talk to him or ask for an explanation, it all ended after the match."

Ancelotti moved to talk about Modric and said, "I think he will end his career here, I don't know when, there is no problem for the club, us or him in renewing the contract, it is absolutely clear."

The Italian coach indicated, "He takes care of himself completely, during his career he did not suffer any serious injury and this helps him a lot."

Ancelotti concluded by saying, “I had a football legend (Maldini), who won his last title in the Champions League at the age of forty, if you compare him to anyone, this person is (Modric) because of the efficiency, seriousness and his way of understanding football, they are legends ».
