The F1 stable Haas has ended up in a multi-million dollar dispute.

This is as a consequence of the fact that it chose to fire Russian driver Nikita Mazepin and end the cooperation with his father, Dimitri, company that was the main sponsor.

According to the site Motorsport, Dimitri's fertilizer company Uralkali wants back the investments of SEK 123 million that they have paid in advance for the current season.

A claim that Haas rejected.

In a reply, the American-owned F1 stable must have written that there was a clause that made it possible to break the sponsorship agreement, if, for example, the sponsor damaged the reputation of Haas.

And Haas is now making a counterclaim to Uralkali.

Haas wants SEK 82 million, as compensation for the lost sponsorship income Haas would have had if the agreement had been fulfilled.

Three World Cup races have so far been decided this F1 season.

Dane Kevin Magnussen, who replaced fired Mazepin, is ninth and Haa's second driver - Mick Schumacher - is in 17th place.
