Arbitration causes Al-Wahda to withdraw from a Syrian league match

The suspension of matches has become a common sight recently in the Syrian Football League, after Al-Wahda withdrew from its match today with Tishreen in the twentieth stage due to the objection to arbitration.

Al-Wahda decided to withdraw from the match in the 27th minute of the first half, when the leaders Tishreen was ahead with a penalty kick scored by Nasuh Nakdali in the 25th minute, amid the Al-Wahda players’ objection to the penalty kick being incorrect, before the 27th minute witnessed roughness on Al-Wahda player Qusay Habib inside the penalty area. But the referee demanded the international Muhammad Al-Abdullah demanded to continue playing, so that Tishreen launched an attack in the same minute, during which he obtained a second penalty kick amid a collective objection from Al-Wahda players and its board of directors, which decided to withdraw in protest against the referee’s decisions.

Tishreen remained at the top with 47 points, awaiting a decision on the outcome of its match with Al-Wehda, two points ahead of Al-Wathba, which fell in Homs against its guest Al-Jaish 0-1.
