A fatal mistake prevents Sharjah from beating Al Rayyan in the "Asian Champions"

A fatal defensive error prevented the Sharjah team from beating Qatar's Al Rayyan, after it was ahead with a clean goal, during the meeting that brought the two teams together today at King Fahd International Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the third round for the first group in the AFC Champions League, and the two teams will meet again on Tuesday Next, in the same group, the defending champion Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia will meet with the Tajikistan team Istiklal Dushanbe.

Sharjah and Al Rayyan raised their score to four points out of the three matches they have played so far.

Sharjah ended the first half with a goal scored by Brazilian Bernard Duraty "45", before Stephen Nzonzi was able to return his team to the match by scoring the equalizing goal "65", taking advantage of a fatal defensive error in the restricted area.  


Sharjah played the same match as the previous squad, during which it won over the Istiklal team, Dushanbe Tajie, with the exception of minor changes, most notably the absence of the Brazilian professional team star Caio Lucas, and he was replaced by the Guinean professional Osman Kamara. 

In the second half, Sharjah coach Cosmin made changes to the team's lineup, with Abdullah Kazem and Salem Saleh entering as substitutes for Saif Rashid and the Congolese Ben Malango, but these changes did not succeed in Sharjah's progress, so the match ended in a draw.
