Rugby League One has decided to change the rules of the qualification match and introduce a new method due to the reorganization of the team.

League One is a three-part system from "Division 1" to "Division 3", with 12 teams in the top division 1 and 6 teams in the remaining two divisions.

Initially, in the exchange battle between Divisions 1 and 2, the lower 3 teams in Division 1 and the upper 3 teams in Division 2 were supposed to play against each other, and the same rules were applied to the exchange battle between Divisions 2 and 3.

However, NTT Communications, which belongs to Division 1, and NTT DoCoMo will be reorganized after the end of this season, and Munakata Sanix, which has already been confirmed to be within the third place in Division 3, will be suspended in May. From, League One announced a new qualification match method.

According to this, in the exchange game between Divisions 1 and 2, Division 1 will be reduced by 1 team, so the 1st place team in Division 2 will be automatically promoted.

In addition, the bottom two teams excluding NTT DoCoMo in Division 1 and the 2nd and 3rd place in Division 2 will play a qualification match.

In the exchange between Divisions 2 and 3, the top teams in Division 3 except Munakata Sanix will be automatically promoted.

In addition, the team that decided to be automatically promoted in Division 2 and Division 3 and the top team except Munakata Sanix will play a qualification match.
