Hwang Seon-woo, who competed in the butterfly competition for the first time in four years since middle school, had no official record and was assigned the 8th lane at the far end.

When his starting gun sounded, Hwang Seon-woo, who jumped in with the fastest reaction speed of 0.64 seconds, showed off his genius-down skills.

He took the lead from the beginning, breaking the tide even with an unfamiliar stroke, and was the first to hit the touchpad at 52 seconds 36, beating Moon Seung-woo, the national butterfly and 200m Korean record holder by 0.35 seconds.

He was only 0.03 seconds short of the Korean record, with the second half of the 50m section being 0.27 seconds faster than the Korean record.

[Hwang Seon-woo / National Swimming Team: I played (butterfly) after a long time, but I am very happy to finish with a good record, and I think that a better record will come out if I improve it while training more.]

Last October, I also changed my mind .

Hwang Seon-woo, who broke Park Tae-hwan's Korean record in individual medley, where he competed in the car, plans to focus on his main sport for the time being, freestyle.

At the World Championships this June, he is aiming for a medal for the first time in 11 years since Park Tae-hwan and multiple gold medals at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Hwang Seon-woo is leaving for field training in Melbourne, Australia next week.
