Now there are many indications that the international ski association, Fis, will take and reconsider its ban during a meeting during the day.

Last year, nine out of 16 members voted in favor of a continued ban on women's skiing.

But according to NRK, large ski jumping nations such as Germany, Austria and Slovenia have swung and will support such a proposal.

A couple of organizations in Norway are ready to take the matter to court if the women are not admitted because, according to them, it is contrary to an EU directive on discrimination based on gender.

"I think it is discriminatory because we have reached such a high level that the top 15-20 would have done just fine.

But I think you should start with those who are in the top 15 in the World Cup and then build on that, so it will be a good product.

Because we need more people who look at us to bring in more money for women's jumping ", writes 21-year-old Westman in a text message to SVT Sport.

Westman is positive about participating in ski flying, where the world record is 253 meters (Stefan Kraft in Norwegian Vikersund 2017) and the critical point on the slopes is 215 meters (instead of 145 meters).

On International Women's Day on March 8, the women demonstrated by painting on mustaches before a competition in Vikersund.

"Will work to win"

"If we get to jump next season, of course I want to jump!

But of course it is me and the coaches who have to agree on it ", writes Trondheim-based Westman who feels grateful that Norwegian organizations are willing to make a lawsuit out of it.

The ladies are also not allowed to compete on the big slopes in connection with the Olympics.

"I think it is very good that someone is standing up for us and continuing to work for gender equality in jumping."

Westman took a big step last season and had six top 10 places in the World Cup and was 16th in his Olympic debut in Beijing.

She is in further development and is looking forward to next season - with or without skiing.

“I feel very motivated to continue working with mine and work on the things I need to improve.

So it will probably be another very fun season, with many long hopes.

My goals for next season are to get a better style of my hopes and continue working on my tasks.

I will work to win! ”

Fischer hopes.
