The United States tops the medal table at the end of the Dubai Fencing World Cup

The World Junior and Junior Fencing Championships concluded, with the USA leading the medal table in the tournament, which witnessed the participation of 103 countries with 1,644 male and female players, who competed for 9 days at Hamdan Sports Complex, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council .

At the end of the tournament, the United States collected 6 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze to be crowned champions of the Fencing World Cup, while Italy came in second with two gold, two silver, and four bronze, followed by Germany with one, two silver and one bronze, France with one, one silver and four bronzes, and Japan with one, one silver and three bronzes.

Then Hungary with gold, silver and two bronze, Israel with gold and two silver, Egypt with gold, silver and bronze, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong, with gold and bronze each, Canada with gold, Ukraine, Britain and South Korea with silver and two bronzes for each, and finally Romania and Poland, each with one silver.

On the last day of the Fencing World Cup, Egypt and Israel won the gold medals in the fencing competition for young men and women, with the participation of 42 men's teams and 33 women's teams, at the conclusion of 18 competitions in the tournament.

The Egyptian team won the gold medal for youth teams, after defeating the United States in the final 45-40, which won the silver, and the bronze medal went to France, by defeating Switzerland 45-39, to raise Egypt’s medal tally in the tournament, after Its youth team of swordsmen for teams has previously won the bronze medal, and its player, Mohamed Yassin, won the silver in the individual competitions for the youth fencing weapon.

Meanwhile, the Israeli team won the women’s team gold, by defeating Poland in the final 45-42, which won the silver, and the bronze medal for the United States of America, by defeating Sweden 45-43.
