Hazem Emam reveals 5 conditions for coaching the Egyptian national team

Hazem Emam, a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, said last night that the next coach of the first national team will be a foreigner, after separating by mutual consent from Portuguese Carlos Queiroz.

And the Egyptian Federation separated by mutual consent from Queiroz, in light of the failure to reach an agreement to extend the contract between the two parties.

The Egyptian Federation said on its Facebook page that it held a meeting with Queiroz, and the two parties reached an agreement to terminate the contract by mutual consent.

And Imam added, in a telephone conversation with the local TV station "On Time Sports", that there was no agreement with Queiroz regarding some of the requests, so that it was decided to separate by mutual consent.

The former Egyptian international explained, "The next foreign coach must be young and have a suitable ambition for the Egyptian team, play in an offensive way, and seek to start from Egypt."

The Egyptian Federation, headed by Gamal Allam, will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, to discuss this file.

Queiroz, the former coach of Real Madrid and the Portuguese national team, took charge of Egypt in September 2021, succeeding coach Hossam El-Badri.

Queiroz led Egypt to the Arab Cup semi-finals in Qatar at the end of last year, before being satisfied with finishing fourth.

Egypt reached the final of the African Nations Cup at the beginning of this year, but lost on penalties to Senegal.

Egypt's hope of reaching the 2022 World Cup finals ended last month after losing in the same way against Senegal in a decisive confrontation.

The Egyptian national team is preparing for the 2023 African Nations Cup qualifiers, which begins next month.
