Yesterday, Sjöström swam to the finish line in the time of 25.05, 98 hundredths ahead of the Dane Emilie Backman.

Today, when it was time for the double distance, the victory time was 56.70, which was 19 hundredths faster than Claire Curzan was noted for at a competition last month - which was the fastest anyone swam earlier this year.

Second in today's competition was Louise Hansson, who was 19 hundredths behind Sjöström.

Hansson is thus shared second on the world year best list.
