Choi Min-jung, a Korean short track skater, won four gold medals and took the overall world championship title in four years.

Minjung Choi won first place in the women's 1,000m and women's 3,000m super finals at the 2022 International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track World Championships held at the Morris Richard Arena in Montreal, Canada.

In the women's 1,500 m performance, where she won the gold medal yesterday, she earned 107 ranking points, beating Canada's Kim Boutin (84 points) to win the championship.

This is the fourth time Choi Min-jung has won the World Championships, following 2015, 2016 and 2018.

In addition, Choi Min-jung led the reverse race in the women's 3,000m relay, which is not included in the individual rankings, and won four gold medals in this event alone.

The only event in which Choi Min-jung did not win a gold medal was the women's 500m.

Choi Min-jung won the gold medal in the women's 1,000m final with a time of 1:27.956.

Choi Min-jung, who maintained fourth place until the middle of the race, left the finish line three laps and overtook the leading players with her main specialty, 'running out of the course'.

She climbed to second place, Choi Min-Jung, with two laps left of the finish line, and even beat first-placed Kim Boutin.

On a straight track, she aimed for the in-course and exquisitely took the lead.

After that, Choi Min-jung leisurely crossed her finish line and harvested her gold medal.

Choi Min-jung also took first place in the women's 3,000m Super Final, in which the top eight athletes competed in the individual event.

Min-Jung Choi, who stocked up on her stamina early in her race, took first place with five laps left of the finish line, and then raised her speed to outrun her competitors.

Min-Jung Choi was the first to reach the finish line with a time of 5 minutes 5 seconds 641, after thwarting Kim Boutin's chase at the end of the race.

Hwi-min Seo, who played together, won the bronze medal in 5 minutes 6 seconds 840, while Shim Suk-hee finished 7th.

Choi Min-jung also won the women's 3,000m relay, which was not included in the individual overall ranking, and took four gold medals in the competition.

Korea, played by Choi Min-jung, Shim Suk-hee, Seo Hwi-min, and Kim A-rang, kept their third place until the last minute of the race, but fell backwards when Shim Suk-hee made contact with an Italian athlete before crossing the finish line four times.

A reversal seemed difficult due to the large gap with previous Canada and the Netherlands.

However, the final runner, Choi Min-jung, ran an incredible race.

She closed her distance with explosive speed and she ran out of the last corner and she was the first to cross the finish line.

In the men's division, Junseo Lee took silver medals in the men's 1,000m and men's 3,000m Super Finals, respectively, taking third place overall with 55 points of ranking.

Yoongi Kwak won the bronze medal in the men's 1,000m.

In the final of the men's 5,000m relay run by Junseo Lee, Yunki Kwak, Seungsoo Han, and Inwook Park, they beat the Netherlands and Canada to win the final with a time of 6:56.709.

Choi Min-jung and Lee Jun-seo were automatically selected as the national team for the next season, but the Korea Skating Federation selects one male and one female athlete with the highest ranking at the World Championships as the national team for the next season regardless of the result of the representative selection match.
