The former Zamalek coach denies his death in a video clip

The coach of Zamalek and the former Iraqi national team, Jorvan Vieira, denied the rumors of his death of a heart attack.

Jorvan Vieira, through his account on "Instagram", published a video clip denying the rumors of his death.

"My friends, thank you for your messages and concerns about me," Vieira said. "I am fine and alive. I watch AFC Champions League matches at my home."

"I'm fine and I'm not dead," Vieira said. "This is a rumour. I'm in good shape and I don't know what's going on. I ask everyone not to spread these rumours, as I'm in Portugal and in good health and communicate with everyone."

Media reports on social media had reported the death of Vieira after suffering a heart attack.

Vieira has a busy training career as he trained three clubs inside Egypt, the first of which was Ismaili in 2001 and the last in 2018 in two states, and between them he led Zamalek during 2012 and 2013, then Smouha in 2016.

The Brazilian has extensive experience in the Arab region, where he trained many Gulf clubs such as Qatar, Al Qadisiyah of Kuwait, Al Nasr of Oman and Al Taie of Saudi Arabia, and in the Emirates he led the Kalba Union, Bani Yas and Sharjah.

As for the North African Arab clubs, Vieira trained in Morocco the FAR, Wydad, Ittihad Casablanca and Ittihad Tangiers, as well as Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel.

At the level of national teams, Vieira led the Oman and Malaysia U-20 teams, worked as an assistant coach for Morocco in 1986, and coached the first Kuwaiti national team, but his most prominent achievements with the national teams came in 2007 with Iraq, where he was crowned with the Asian Cup.
