Färjestad led 3-1 in matches, which meant that Skellefteå was forced to win in order not to be eliminated from the Swedish Championship play-offs.

They did, too, even though it was a long way off.

Took the lead early

But for a while it seemed to go pretty smoothly.

Already after 3.27, the team took the lead, when Rickard Hugg with his pants steered Jonathan Puda's shot into powerplay.

Less than four minutes later, the same Pudas extended, through a phenomenal shot in the crossbar.

Also 3-1 in powerplay

Before the period was over, however, Färjestad, in a five-on-three game, had reduced and it was still a match.

But Skellefteå won, 4-2.

The third goal, which turned out to be decisive in the match, also came in numerical superiority.

This is when Michael Kapla, with his first playoff goal, found the left cross just over halfway into the period.

- In that situation, I often put a pass to Joakim (Lindström), but I saw a good gap and was lucky enough for it to go in, says Kapla to C More.

4-2 in open box

Färjestad reduced in the last period, and sometimes had good pressure against the Skellefteå goal.

But they never managed to equalize, and instead Filip Sandberg was able to put 4-2 in the open box in the final minute, and Skellefteå reduced the match series to 2-3.

- A good match!

We did everything we could to win today, and we got paid for it, says Oscar Möller to C More.
