The World Cup for Sport Climbing and Bouldering took place in Switzerland this season.

Futaba Ito, who advanced to the final, was the only Japanese girl to finish in 5th place, and Miho Nonaka, a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, was eliminated in the qualifying.

Bouldering in sport climbing is an event in which you compete for how many courses you have climbed within the time limit, which is called a "task".

The opening round of this season's World Cup has been held in Meiringen, Switzerland since the 8th, and the women's final was held on the 9th.

19-year-old Ito advanced to the final where only one or six of the seven Japanese players participated, but he could not complete all four tasks to the end and was fifth.

On the other hand, Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Nonaka, who was held in a combination of three events including bouldering, finished 27th in the qualifying and did not advance to the semi-finals.

The winner was the Tokyo Olympic gold medalist and Slovenian Janja Garnbret, the only player in the final to complete all four challenges.

For boys, Tomoa Narasaki, who finished 4th in the Tokyo Olympics, passed the qualifying round in the top tie, and the semi-finals and finals will be held on the 10th.
