Sharjah loses with difficulty from Al Hilal at the beginning of the "Asian Champions"

Today, the Sharjah team lost its first match in the first group of the 2022 AFC Champions League against the defending champion, Al Hilal, with two goals against a goal during the confrontation that brought them together at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. Al Hilal won the first three points in the tournament, and the two teams will meet again in a meeting Return on the 24th.

Despite the loss, Sharjah embarrassed the Asian champion in front of his fans after he held out until the "62nd" minute, which saw Al Hilal score the winning goal after the first half ended in a positive 1-1 draw, during which Sharjah was distinguished by its good defensive organization.

The match was characterized by club and excitement on the part of the two teams, especially in the first half.

Al Hilal took the lead early, only five minutes after the start of the match, from a penalty kick by Saleh Al Shehri, which was caused by Shaheen Abdul Rahman with Musa Mariga. Al Hilal's joy did not last long with the first goal, as Sharjah reacted quickly, after he managed to score a tie through the Uzbek Shukurov in the seventh minute, and Al Hilal waited until the 62nd minute, when Brazilian Michel Delgado scored the second goal.

In the same group, Qatar's Al Rayyan defeated Istiklal Dushanbe, Tajikistan 3-2.

Sharjah will play its second match in this group next Tuesday against Tajikistan's Istiklal, while Al Hilal will meet Qatar's Al Rayyan.
