Two years ago, Masters runner-up Seongjae Lim confidently attacked the Augusta course.

After catching birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes with a sophisticated iron shot, he put in a tricky 5m putt on the 3rd hole and boosted the momentum with 3 straight birdies.

He stumbled into a streak in the second half, but hit the decisive one on the par 5, 13th hole.

The second shot from a distance of 200m was exquisitely attached to the pin and connected with an eagle, reducing two shots at once.

Sungjae Lim, who successfully broke through the last hole crisis with a picturesque bunker shot, took the lead by one shot with a 5-under par.

Seongjae Lim, the first Korean player to lead the first round of the Masters, smiled broadly, saying it was thanks to his father who showed a great shot in the par 3 contest yesterday (the 7th).

[Sungjae Lim / 2nd win on the PGA Tour: Apparently, my father hit a fun shot in the par 3 (contest) yesterday, and he hit it well, so that energy has come to this day.]

Tiger Woods, who came back after a year and four months, enjoyed a cloud crowd. He drove and had a successful comeback.

His legs looked uncomfortable, but his characteristic charisma and shots were still there.

On the par 3 and 6 holes, he made a splash with fantastic tee shots, and on the 16th hole he made a 9m birdie putt, placing him in a tie for 10th under par.

[Tiger Woods: Today I did something positive.

My legs will be uncomfortable for the rest of my life, but I can still do it.]

Kyung-Hoon Lee started in a tie for 43rd on 2-over par, and Si-woo Kim started with a tie for 70th on 4-over par.
