Yaqoub Al-Saadi, commenting on Shaheen's topic: When a player is called up for the national team, he is obligated to wear his shirt

Head of Abu Dhabi Sports Channels and presenter of the "Street Sports" program on the channel, Yaqoub Al Saadi, commenting on the speech of the head of the Sharjah Football Company Abdullah Al-Ajlah during a previous interview with him on the channel regarding the Sharjah player Shaheen Abdul Rahman that "the player when he is called up to the national team is obligated to wear his shirt." .

He described this as a pride for any player to wear the UAE national team shirt, and that a different culture should not be spread in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the Football Association's Disciplinary Committee had recently punished Sharjah player Shaheen Abdul Rahman by suspending him for four matches and fined him 200,000 dirhams for leaving the team camp twice without permission.

Al-Saadi added during the Sports Street program: “There is something in the dialogue that provoked me greatly, and I imagine that it provoked many, that when an administrative man or the head of a football company comes and says that a professional player is not obligated to play in the national team, and that there is no law obligating him to play for the national team.”

He continued: There is a law and regulation that when a player is called up for the national team, he is forced to play for the national team, and this is a pride for any player to wear the UAE national team shirt, and we must not spread a different culture, that the player is not obligated to play for the team.

He also said: “If Shaheen’s problem is It is a problem with the technical staff or the administrative staff, because no one knows yet where the problem is originally, given that the Football Association did not come out with a clear statement, as well as the player, and that everyone says something different from the other, and everyone in the sports street explains things on ( how)".
