The US Masters starts on Thursday.

There is much to suggest that Tiger Woods is playing.

Just over a year ago, the legend was involved in a serious car accident and was then close to having to amputate a leg.

The 48-year-old has not played competitive golf since then, but now the comeback seems to be a fact.

- It is very surprising, says the Swedish golf profile Peter Hanson about Woods return.

Think he can win

Hanson himself has finished third in the Masters and has been ranked 17th best in the world.

- I was one of those who did not think he would come back from his previous injury (back).

So you have had to eat your hat, says Hanson.

What expectations can we have of him this weekend?

- If Tiger had been an ordinary person, we would not have been able to expect much.

But if Tiger shows up, he is prepared enough to challenge for the win.

Otherwise he will not show up.

What demands does the track place on his not yet restored legs?

- It is very difficult to walk.

I have played there with real back problems and it is very tough to walk.

It will be a challenge.

Without Swedes in the starting field, Hanson hopes for a Norwegian victory during Sunday's decisive lap.

- I hope for Viktor Hovland, our Scandinavian neighbor.

I also think Dustin Johnson can have a good chance, but I hope for Viktor.
