Sundsvall announced on Tuesday that Oscar Linnér and the club are going their separate ways.

The goalkeeper was poked in the Allsvenskan premiere away against Sirius and after the match, Linnér was anything but happy.

- It feels damn boring.

I'm here to play, not sit on the bench.

When I have not been allowed to play in the Bundesliga, it is because I have sat on the bench behind one of Europe's best goalkeepers.

Then I felt that there is a logic in that I do not play.

Then it has been easier to accept.

This is very difficult to accept, to be honest, Linnér said according to Sundsvalls Tidning then.

"I did not express myself well"

The 25-year-old has during the days not commented on the situation, but now he chooses for the first time to comment on the incident.

In an interview with Sportbladet, he explains the whole incident.

- When I read the interview afterwards, I understand that the supporters are disappointed in me, but as I said, it was my own situation I wanted to convey.

But I was too emotional and did not express myself well, says Linnér to Sportbladet.

He says that all the frustration, which he carried on for two years abroad, bubbled up in the mixed zone after the premiere.

It resulted in the outcome.

- I apologized the first thing I did when I had a meeting with Urban Hagblom.

I said it was not my intention to say anything bad about the club or any teammate.

I must also say that it has been misinterpreted by people and some people misinterpret it on purpose, he says.

Uncertain future for Linnér

Linnér further says that he has a bad conscience towards the club.

- I have the most bad conscience against Gif Sundsvall as a club.

To endure this situation that has arisen.

That it may have the injury club.

That is what feels difficult, he says.

The 25-year-old still has a contract with German Arminia Bielefeld and he says that he will talk to the club about the future.

For SVT Sport, sports director Urban Hagblom could tell that they need to pay salary for the part they have an agreement, ie until July 31 - unless Arminia Bielefeld finds another club than Sundsvall when the international window opens.
