Charlotte Kalla ended her career by taking bronze in the three-mile race.

After the finish, she was hailed by her teammates and hugged by a teary-eyed grandfather Bengt.

When the ski queen visits Morgonstudion on Wednesday, it has been just over a week since the race.

- It struck me when the reporter said that I went to my last competition, it really is so.

Even though the month of April usually means a break from the competition, it has probably not really dawned on me that I will not wear the number tag as an elite skier anymore, says Kalla when she looks back at pictures from the three miles.

She says that her curiosity about life outside of skiing is great, but she does not yet know exactly what she will do in the future.

- There is a lot more than skiing in life, which I have had a taste of, but have not been able to do really fully so far.

Now I'll find out what I want to do.

Like what?

- Just being able to greet friends and family without feeling that the whole training bag goes with it, if there is training, it is a bonus.

It feels like a freedom just that.

Do you think that we might see you as an expert commentator here on SVT?

- Yes, I will not close any doors at all.

Now there are only opportunities, I will really take the time to think about what I want to do now.
