National team defender Jonna Andersson is ready for Hammarby.

The 29-year-old joins a contract this summer until 2024, leaving the English top team Chelsea.

- Great for both parties!

She has not had continuous playing time for a very long time.

So it's good for the national team too, considering how many do not play in their club teams.

And for Hammarby, it is a great signing, a real prestige signing.

For Hammarby, the season has started with major problems in the defense and the play-off phase, says Johannesson.

- She adds routine to the team.

They have material for a top position, but that's not what you've seen at the beginning of the season.

She is 29 years old and should reasonably be at the top of her career.

Are you surprised that she moves to Hammarby?

- She has been out for quite some time, and probably prioritizes playing time and getting home.

So I'm not terribly surprised, considering she's been in and out of the starting eleven.

"Good for damallsvenskan"

In recent years, many stars have left damallsvenskan.

And it is a fact that makes Markus Johannesson happy a little extra for Hammarby's recruitment.

- Good for damallsvenskan, and fun for the whole series.

But considering how many have moved away, it is fun that someone comes home, he says.

How good a level will Jonna Andersson keep in the damallsvenskan?

- Absolutely top class!

It is a player of national team class who is solid.

She will dominate her edge, but is not the one who dribbles a lot of players and puts the balls in goal.

But for Hammarby, it is a great signing.
