Jonna Andersson plays for Chelsea FC, but has not got the playing time she might have hoped for.

The team leads the women's Premier League with three rounds left.

- She simply knows what it takes to be part of the absolute top in both club teams and national teams.

We get a very professional player who I know will affect the players in our squad in a very positive way both on and off the field, says Hammarby's coach Pablo Piñones-Arce in the press release.

"Profile recruitment"

Hammarby's sports director Johan Lager believes that Andersson's merits will contribute.

- It is a profile recruitment and a class player with strong national team merits who has been a regular at Chelsea most of his time there.

That she writes a long agreement with us shows that we are on the right track with our strategy and she will give us further edge in the squad, he says.

Andersson's contract extends over the 2024 season.

- I am very happy to have signed for Hammarby.

It is a club with an exciting investment that I want to be a part of.

I am really looking forward to coming to the club, getting to know the team this summer and see what we can achieve in the future, she says.

Jonna Andersson has played two Olympics and one World Cup for Sweden.
