Dutch coach Louis van Gaal received great support and solidarity from international teams and clubs, after announcing that he had prostate cancer on Sunday.

Van Gaal, 70, explained that he hid the issue from the players during the last camp so as not to affect them, indicating that he would fight the disease and would remain at the head of the team as long as he could.

And the official account of the Dutch national football team on Twitter published today, Monday, a picture of Van Gaal, content with placing the heart symbol on it.

The European Football Association (UEFA) supported the Dutch coach, saying in a tweet, "On behalf of the European football community, we send our best wishes to Van Gaal, who has announced that he is battling prostate cancer. We are all with you Louis."

As for the German national football team, it sent its best wishes and hopes for a full recovery to Van Gaal.

At the club level, Bayern Munich wished its former coach success in the fight against cancer, saying, "We all know how strong he is, and we hope for a full and speedy recovery."

In turn, Real Madrid expressed its solidarity with the Dutch coach, saying, "The club sends all its feelings and support to the coach of the Dutch national team. The strength that he has always shown in facing challenges will help him to overcome this ordeal."
