The move from Juventus to Tottenham has provided new fuel for Dejan Kulusevski.

Ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting with Newcastle, the Swede was listed for two goals and four assists in nine league matches.

There was more of that currency this evening.

Nine minutes into the second half, Kulusevski wall-played with Harry Kane and then accelerated along the right wing.

Well further down the right wing, the Swede then found in to Heung-min Son who scored 3-1 for Tottenham.

- I think it's so fun to play football when I'm here.

I really enjoy the fans, the arena, the teammates who are incredibly good football players and fantastic people.

We have fun when we play and it shows - and then it goes well.

It is an honor to play with such good football players in the team, says Kulusevski to Viaplay.

Superior in others

Spurs were down at the end of the first half but managed to equalize before half time - and after the break there was only one team on the field.

2-1 came already in the 48th minute before Sons 3-1 fell in six minutes later.

Emerson Royal extended to 4-1 after the hour played before Steven Bergwijn set the final score at 5-1 seven minutes from full time.

Kulusevski was exchanged with Rodrigo Bentancur with a quarter left to play and the duo then received standing ovations from the home crowd.

"Football is the best there is"

- I think it was a difficult match in the first half, I think we play well and got a very unfortunate goal, but we scored immediately after - and the second half was fantastic to play, says Kulusevski and concludes:

- Football is the best there is and to be able to play this after such a tough week as we had ... to just come here, get to enjoy and remember that football sometimes makes you happy is good.

Emil Krafth remained on the bench throughout the match for Newcastle.

Tottenham advanced to fourth place in the Premier League with the victory.

Spurs stand at 54 points after 30 games.

Arsenal can, however, take back fourth place tomorrow if they take points away against Crystal Palace.

Newcastle are in 15th place in the league.
