Christian Eriksen, who joined Brentford in the English Premier League after overcoming a heart attack, fired a comeback.

Eriksen started the 2021-2022 EPL Round 31 away match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, London, England, and scored the winning goal making it 2-1 in the 9th minute of the second half.

It was the first goal in the regular season that he scored while wearing the Brentford jersey, returning to the EPL this year.

Brentford scored a multi-goal from Vitali Yanelt, a goal from Eriksen and an extra goal from Joan Weissa to win the game 4-1.

Eriksen, who collapsed from a heart attack during the European Championships in June last year, signed a contract with Brentford in January until the end of the 2021-2022 season.

After a cardiac defibrillator implantation operation, the contract with Inter Milan (Italy) was terminated, but a new team was found with the will to return to the field.

Eriksen, who has returned, is playing an active part every day.

On 27 February, he made his comeback as a substitute in the 27th round of the EPL against Newcastle United, and last month he also joined the Danish national team.

The national team scored goals in both evaluation matches.

In the friendly match against the Netherlands (Denmark 2-4) on the 27th, he started scoring in 2 minutes after being replaced in the second half, and in the match against Serbia (Denmark 3-0) on the 30th, he wore the captain's armband and hit a key goal in the second half. .

In particular, Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark, where the Serbia match was held, is the place where Eriksen collapsed last year.

Erik Sen announced his successful return to the same venue after about nine months.

After finishing his national team schedule, he showed off his goal sense in the EPL that day.

During Brentford's counterattack process in the 9th minute of the second half of the team's 1-1 match, Brajan Mboemo drove the ball and sprinted and passed it to the center, and Eriksen, who was rushing, shook the net with his left foot.

It was Eriksen's EPL comeback, who played for Tottenham until the 2019-2020 season, and his debut goal for Brentford.

Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea), who had eaten together at Inter Milan with Eriksen, welcomed the return of his team-mate and shared a warm hug after the match.

Eriksen was also selected in the 'King Of The Match', which is selected by fan votes on the league's official website.

He was recognized as the best performer of the day, with 58.6% of the votes cast by 9,851 people.

With three points, Brentford placed 14th (33 points) in the league, while Chelsea finished their fifth consecutive league win and stayed in third place (59 points).

It is the first time Brentford has beaten Chelsea since 1939, according to the BBC.
