Completion of all competition venues for the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games

On April 1, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province held a mobilization meeting to organize the "Decisive Victory" for the Asian Games.

Liu Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee, attended the meeting and made a mobilization speech.

Deputy Secretary of the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Liu Xin took the oath on the spot, and the staff of the main venue, the Asian Games competition venue and the district, county (city) branch venues jointly took the oath.

Four important milestones in the preparation of the Asian Games were released at the mobilization meeting: all 56 Asian Games competition venues were completed, and the venue operation team was officially stationed; the Jiangbei section of Hangzhou Metro Line 7 and the southern section of Line 9 were opened; Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games official The poster was released; the national volunteer service action was officially launched.

  "Asian Games preparations, venues first."

From the site selection and planning in 2017 to the successful completion of design, construction and acceptance, one after another venues have appeared brightly, witnessing the preparation process of the Asian Games.

A total of 56 competition venues will be constructed for the Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games, 42 of which are located in Hangzhou, and will host 35 Asian Games and 22 Asian Paralympic Games.

There are 14 unique venues in the five co-host cities of Ningbo, Huzhou, Jinhua, Wenzhou and Shaoxing, which will host sailing, rock climbing, dragon boating and other events.

In addition to the competition venues, 31 training venues have also been deployed across Zhejiang, all of which are renovation and upgrading projects for existing venues. They are currently progressing as scheduled and are expected to be fully completed and delivered by the end of May.

The construction of the Asian Games venues adheres to the concept of "green, intelligent, frugal, and civilized" to ensure that the requirements of the event are met, promote urban construction, and serve the public.

For example, the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium named "Butterfly" looks like a butterfly, with an area of 74,000 square meters.

The perimeter of the venue is a 25,000-ton steel structure. Each piece of steel structure is made of 3D printing technology. The steel structure is marked with a QR code, which plays a vital role in future maintenance.

According to Qiu Peihuang, Director of the Venue Construction Department of the Hangzhou Asian Organizing Committee, the construction of the venue hardware is only a small step, and the next step is to improve the details of the venue through continuous professional inspections.

At the same time, continuous training and testing should be carried out for operators, especially all-element testing, to improve the combination of venue hardware and software.

As a supporting activity for this conference, on the evening of April 1, the event "Lighting Hangzhou to Welcome the Asian Games" was held on the urban balcony of Qianjiang New Town, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou.

At the same time, some Asian Games competition venues were collectively lit at the same time.
