Rögle won all four basic series meetings with Oskarshamn.

But when the quarter-final series began, it was Oskarshamn who took an unexpected victory.

On Saturday afternoon, Rögle equalized to 1-1 in matches, on away ice.

However, the guests got off to a heavy start.

Leon Bristedt, who missed the first meeting due to stomach illness, suffered a blow early in the first period and was forced to step down.

A moment later, the club confirmed that it had finished playing for the 27-year-old.

Prior to that, Bristedt was involved in Rögle's lead goal, when Adam Tambellini sent off the 1-0 goal behind an obscure Tim Juel.

"Nice to have some confidence"

Oskarshamn equalized before the break through Brian Cooper, before Rögle regained the lead.

Adam Edström, 13th forward for the day, got ice time in the middle of the night and took advantage of it immediately.

- Very nice to come in and get some confidence, says the 21-year-old in C More's broadcast.

Oskarshamn put 2-2 just over a minute into the third.

But the last word got Rögle and Anton Bengtsson, who steered in Valtteri Kemiläinen shots.

- Nice to see it go in, says the winning shooter after the match.

The third quarter-final meeting will be played on Monday in Ängelholm.
