French striker Karim Benzema led his Real Madrid team to a 2-1 victory over its host Celta Vigo, today, Saturday, in the 30th stage of the Spanish Football League.

The French international scored the two winning goals for the Royal Club from two penalty kicks in the 18th and 69th minutes, and missed a third penalty kick.

Nolito scored the only goal for Celta Vigo in the 54th minute.

Real Madrid raised its lead to 69 points, 12 points behind its closest rivals, Seville, and Celta Vigo's balance stopped at 36 points in 11th place.

Benzema is the only top scorer in La Liga with 24 goals, 10 goals behind Turkish Enis Unal, Getafe's top scorer.
