A golden sign with the name "Sara Hector" will be put up on top of the slope in the ski resort outside Järbo in Gävleborg County, writes Dagens Nyheter.

- Incredibly fun of course.

Kungsberget is my home slope, I grew up there and that is where I learned to ski.

I have competed my first competition in Kungsberget and guaranteed to win my first competition there as well.

It feels great fun, says Hector to DN.

The hill gets its new name during a ceremony on Saturday, in connection with Hector's annual competition "ALS Challenge" which is run to draw attention to ALS and whose income goes to research on the disease.

Hector's mother suffers from the disease.

Best so far

The 29-year-old herself will not compete due to the knee injury she has suffered since the crash during the World Cup competitions in Åre at the end of the season.

This past season has been Hector's best so far.

She took several podium places - and wins - in the World Cup in giant slalom and eventually finished second in the giant slalom cup, but the big highlight was undoubtedly the Olympic gold in giant slalom from Beijing.
