A couple of weeks ago, Djurgården presented Sead Haksabanovic as a new acquisition.

The 22-year-old was allowed to break his contract with the Russian club Rubin Kazan and go on loan to the Stockholm club until the end of June.

The time before the move engraved great anxiety in his parents' everyday life.

- They read and were on the news much more than I really was and they were on me and called and checked the situation all the time.

In the end, my parents could not sleep at night and I knew that, so it made it difficult for me to sleep at night.

The focus was not on football, but mostly on anxiety.

- I was just waiting for Fifa's decision (to allow players to leave) so I could go home.

"Not an ordinary Swedish mentality"

Haksabanovic is happy to be at home in Sweden - but at first it was not entirely clear that the choice would be the Allsvenskan.

- I had bids from one club in England, two in Belgium, two in Spain.

But I felt I wanted to come here and calm myself and my family.

Djurgården believes in me and I believe in what we should do together.

It is a professional club that has exceeded my expectations.

I would not say that it is a common Swedish mentality here, but they are a little further ahead.

However, he admits that Norrköping, to which he belonged between 2020-2021, was an alternative.

- But when they went out on their own, it was as if they did not want me.

Then it was easier to choose Djurgården.

They have said that we asked for large sums, but I do not believe that and I think they had managed those sums.

Then he celebrates against Norrköping

What happens after the agreement with Djurgården expires this summer is still unclear.

- No clue.

We will see what happens to Russia and Ukraine.

I hope everything is over by then.

How long can Djurgården go this season?

- All the way to the gold.

One hundred percent.

Already in the third round, your former club Norrköping is waiting, how will it be?

- Fun of course.

I know almost everyone there and it was not even a year since I left them.

Do you celebrate if you score goals?

- I get to see what the match looks like and how the relationship is with the players and fans.

If it's a goal in the 92nd that makes us win the match, I think I will celebrate.
