The Russian pamper Boris Skrynnik is the chairman of the international bandy federation, FIB.

Now several other countries want to oust him and all other Russian officials within the union.

This weekend, when the Bandy World Cup for women was decided on Swedish soil, five countries participated in a meeting where they decided to fight for it to become a reality.

- The countries that were gathered were Norway, Finland, Hungary and the USA.

Then we also have two delegates from Sweden, says Per-Anders Gustafsson.

Wants to exclude all Russians

Gustafsson himself is vice chairman behind Skrynnik in FIB and is clear with his position.

- We have marked our position.

We will not have any Russian officials in international bandy as long as it looks like it does in the world.

- We want to remove them from the board of the international bandy federation and in the committees where we have Russian delegates.

We are a working group of three people who legally ensure that this is done in the right way.

There is a majority on the board to do this.

The reason for the strong stance is about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Something FIB, led by Skrynnik, has not yet been condemned.

Does the fact that Skrynnik is chairman of the union complicate the process?

- That makes it extra difficult.

He wants to stay and is fighting for it.

But we want to do it right and proper based on a legal process.

We want an extra congress, that is the precondition, so that we do not end up in a situation where Russia appeals to the CAS (Sports Arbitration Court).

- We have connected the legal help we need.

We are fully aware that this will go through.

There are more unions that have done this and they have been a bit fast, so they have come to CAS.

We want to avoid that.

We must complete this process before the end of May.

Would you consider becoming a new chairman?

- There is no question right now.

It will be decided by a new congress in the next situation.

This is a secondary issue at present, but it will arise.

But I have not reflected or thought about it at present.
