Hammarby's sports director Jesper Jansson sees the striker as a key reinforcement before the start of the season.

- We see Trawally as the last piece of the puzzle before the start of the series, says Jesper Jansson on the club's website.

27-year-old Trawally joins from the club Ajman in the United Arab Emirates and the contract with the all-Swedish club extends over two years.

The sports director announces that the deal with the striker was completed a while ago, but that the plan was for the player to join in the summer.

That will not be the case, but Trawally is already joining the spring season.

But the 27-year-old misses Saturday's Allsvenskan premiere where Hammarby meets Helsingborg at home.

- It has been a couple of intense weeks, and even if he misses the premiere, we are very happy to have him with us already for the spring season, and to get a player of his class in at all feels fantastic, says the sports director.

Bubacarr Trawally has previously played in the Chinese top league, where he won the shooting league in 2017. After games in China, there were games in both Al-Shabab and Ajman.

But now there will be games in the Allsvenskan and Hammarby.

The new acquisition has also played 14 international matches for his Gambia.

- It feels fantastic to come to Hammarby, and I really look forward to meeting the club's supporters, the striker says to the club.
