Senegalese player Sadio Mane expressed his happiness and fulfilled his dream of winning the play-off match to qualify for the World Cup finals in Qatar 2022, in addition to winning the African Cup of Nations and sending a message to his colleague Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool team.

"I think it was a difficult match for both teams," Mane said on the Egyptian channel On Time Sports.

And he added: "But as I said and I say again, we did not stop at all with the push of the fans, and we know that the Egyptian team will play a very difficult and strong match, and over the course of two days the Senegalese team sought to press strongly to score the goal."

He added: "We pressed the Egyptian national team hard and we were playing fast football, and this is what we wanted, and perhaps we were more fortunate than the Egyptian team in the penalty shootout."

Mane sent a message to his colleague, Mohamed Salah, in the Liverpool team and the captain of the Egyptian national team, saying: "He lost twice and I won twice and I am more fortunate than him because I beat him twice, but I am very proud because the dream of reaching the World Cup was in my mind and we achieved that dream and we won the African Nations Cup."

Senegal qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar at the expense of Egypt after defeating the Pharaohs 3-1 on penalties in the match that brought them together today, and the original time ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of Senegal, which is the same result of the first leg in Cairo. An additional penalty kick followed, which ended in Senegal's favour.
