It was the basic series winner Brynäs who took the lead when Jaycee Gebhard nicely stole the puck and played forward Denisa Krizova.

But five minutes later, Noora Tulus equalized in a numerical disadvantage.

She got the puck from Viivi Vainikka, rounded the goalkeeper and put it in with a backhand.

In the second period, it was Vainkka who scored the decisive goal.

She broke a pass in the middle zone and then shot herself in 2-1.

Almost immediately after, Brynäs and Gebhard had time to celebrate an equalizer, but after examination it turned out that the puck was never over the finish line.

Luleå impressive from the second period onwards, while Brynäs was not really recognizable.

- Sour of course.

It feels like we are not playing at our capacity to one hundred percent and Luleå is good.

We have to step up when it is final, says Brynäs star Josefin Bouveng.

- The match was as expected.

We knew we needed to work hard and take advantage of our chances, says Luleå's Jenni Hiirikoski.

Now two matches await in Gävle in the match series which will be decided in the best of five.

With its initial victory, Luleå, which finished third in the basic series, now has a grip on its fourth straight Swedish Championship gold.

- It is a final series over the best of five matches, so you just have to put this aside, says Bouveng.
