The Jiu-Jitsu team raises the UAE’s tally to 16 medals in the Asian Championship in Bahrain

Today, Tuesday, the national jiu-jitsu team concluded its participation in the sixth Asian championship that will be held at the Isa bin Rashid Sports Hall in Manama, with the participation of 400 male and female players from 24 countries. The UAE champions raised the balance of their achievements to 16 medals, including 8 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze .

This is the first time that a single team has won 8 golds out of a total of 14 medals in a single edition.

The UAE team ranked first with this result, and won the best team shield in the tournament, while the Jordan team ranked second, with two golds, 3 silvers and a bronze medal, and Vietnam came in third place with two gold and one bronze.

The UAE national team player, Mohammed Ali Al Suwaidi, was crowned the best player in the sixth edition of the Asian Championship, where he received the shield of excellence for his distinguished performance and remarkable results in the men's under 69 kg weight category.
