It was a third place in the Superettan last season and in the qualifiers for the Allsvenskan they managed to defeat Halmstad.

This cemented a place in the high school division 2022.

But according to the media, Helsingborg (15th) is tipped to take the high-speed train ticket down to the Superettan.

- We have demands on ourselves, then I will be honest and say that I completely shit in what the media tips.

The important thing is what we ourselves think, says coach Jörgen Lennartsson to SVT Sport.

The goal: Allsvenskan 2023

Lennartsson believes that lager is inspired for the series premiere.

- We are back on the Allsvenskan stage and will try to find the methods to keep us going.

For our part, we have a goal with the season and that is to play in the Allsvenskan 2023.

"Part of the game"

But the pre-season has been marked by injuries.

Midfielder Brandur Hendriksson and key player Wilhelm Loeper have been injured for a long time.

- I would be lying if I said that the pre-season was optimal regarding the injuries.

Last season we were spared from injuries, but so far this year it has looked different.

But these injuries we have received now are basically unlucky injuries, and it is "part of the game", such you can count on, says Lennartsson.

Helsingborg starts the all-Swedish season with an away match against Hammarby on Saturday.
